It is a reality that many in our families, churches, workplaces and communities regularly experience trials and hardships in life. As Christ-followers we are all called to help by bearing one another’s burdens, by admonishing the unruly, encouraging the fainthearted, and helping the weak, while being patient with all (Galatians 6:2; 1 Thess. 5:14). However, it is also a reality that many in the church believe they are not equipped to carry out these God given responsibilities. Our goal is to glorify God by equipping lay men and women and church and pastoral staff to better serve those hurting and in need in the church body.

The Hope Center at Christian Family Chapel offers Counselor Training each year.

Take this opportunity to gather with others and learn about CFC. This 5 week class will teach you about who we are, our core beliefs and values, as well as provide you with the opportunity to hear from each of our ministry leaders.

Discovery Bible Study (DBS) is a method to read the Bible and discover what it has to say using simple questions. We will see how the nation of Israel was formed and how the genealogy of Jesus enfolds.

“From Heartbroken to Hopeful” is a small group study that brings hope and encouragement to parents and the families of prodigal adult children. The class will be offered this summer and will be led by Shirley Johns, who will use her book (From Heartbroken to Hopeful) and study guide.
The class is geared toward moms with children who grew up in a Christian home and have turned away, choosing to live independently of God. This class will provide help and hope to moms as they discover God’s wisdom and seek to keep Christ as the central focus. Participants will learn how to respond to their adult children to glorify God. The class will be five weeks long and held on the following dates:

Wednesday mornings, 9:30-11:00 a.m.

June 12, June 19, June 26, July 3, and July 10

The class size is limited to 12-15 moms, ensuring a personalized and intimate learning environment. The registration fee is $20, which covers the book and study guide.

These groups consist of 2-4 men or 2-4 women who meet over a 12-18 month period with 2 goals:

1. Teach members how to be a disciple of Christ

2. Train members how to make disciples of others. (Matt. 4:19; 28:19-20 & 1 John 2:6)

Each member is asked to work towards leading a Life on Life group once they have completed theirs, which results in exponential discipleship!
