On Campus Classes

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each talk or session looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation.

Alpha is led all around the world, and everyone’s welcome. It runs in cafés, churches, universities, and homes. No two Alpha groups look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: good food, an engaging talk, and follow-up conversation.

Next Start Date: Pending

Time: 6:30-8:30PM

Location: The Table Coffee Shop (10391 Old St Augustine Rd)

If you have accepted Jesus and would like to be baptized, we ask you attend our baptism class. We are excited to celebrate your new life in Christ!

This is an excellent opportunity for men and women to study God’s Word. The in-person BSF men’s group meets on Monday nights at CFC. There are various day & evening women’s classes throughout Jacksonville. Also, there are online options for those who prefer not to meet in person or who may be homebound. If you are interested, visit their website for more information and to register.

It is a reality that many in our families, churches, workplaces and communities regularly experience trials and hardships in life. As Christ-followers we are all called to help by bearing one another’s burdens, by admonishing the unruly, encouraging the fainthearted, and helping the weak, while being patient with all (Galatians 6:2; 1 Thess. 5:14). However, it is also a reality that many in the church believe they are not equipped to carry out these God given responsibilities. Our goal is to glorify God by equipping lay men and women and church and pastoral staff to better serve those hurting and in need in the church body.

The Hope Center at Christian Family Chapel offers Counselor Training each year.

Take this opportunity to gather with others and learn about CFC. This four-week class will teach you about who we are, our core beliefs and values, and allow you to hear from some of our pastors and ministry and leaders.

Discovery Bible Study (DBS) is a simple and powerful way to explore the Bible with others—especially those who may be curious about faith in Jesus but are not yet committed. Using a set of straightforward, repeatable questions, DBS helps participants discover God’s truth directly from Scripture. Those unfamiliar with the Bible are encouraged to join.

Come learn how to lead a DBS, or bring a friend who is open to reading the Bible but not yet following Christ. In these classes, we see the Bible come alive and discover the excitement of God’s Word, as each verse and chapter speaks applicable truth to our hearts and lives, showing us joy and peace in the Lord.

Are you interested? Bring a friend who wants to see too! We will do an 11-week overview of the Old Testament, starting with creation, the fall, Noah and the flood, Abram’s covenant, the creation of the Nation Israel, the sacrifice of Isaac, the first Passover, and the prophecy of Isaiah in Chapter 53, which foretells the Suffering Servant Jesus. You may join our Discovery Bible Study at any time.

You many join at anytime and learn how we do Discovery Bible Study.
