Today, we are very aware that people experience many problems such as depression, anger, conflict, fear & worry, marriage conflict, or enslavement to pornography or alcohol. These difficult problems are not only hard for the individual, but they can also wreak havoc on relationships, such as the marriage relationship, the parent-child relationship, the employer-employee relationship, and in a peer relationship.
The purpose of the Biblical Counseling Ministry is to extend the hope of Jesus Christ to the lives of hurting people in our church and community. We seek to keep the gospel of Jesus Christ central to our work. This is done by the counselor sharing the good news of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection and His offer of new life by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and by entering into a personal discipleship relationship with the counselee in which he or she will seek to offer biblical solutions to the counselee’s problems. It is our genuine hope that those who receive counsel will consequently desire to live for the glory of God and experience peace, hope and joy in the midst of their circumstances.
