Bible Teaching & Leadership Training
Our internships are to help ministry-driven, college-aged students learn how to teach the Bible and lead people in the church ministry setting. We do this by having a weekly Bible teaching/Leadership Class, providing 10 teaching opportunities, and creating a summer experience that will imitate 10 weeks of leading a student ministry for the intern.
The internship is a paid 10-week program that happens between late May and early August, and housing is provided by the church.
Interested students must have a love for Jesus, a love for students, similar doctrinal beliefs, a good work ethic, a teachable heart, and a car.

Bill Winton
Middle School Pastor
Meet Bill
Bill graduated from Columbia International University in 1989. Since then, he has served as a youth pastor and has been on staff at CFC since 2000! Alongside youth ministry, he has worked as a Bible teacher, missions pastor, soccer coach, and even owned a lawn maintenance company. All of these experiences have shaped him into the amazing disciple-maker he is today, investing in the lives of young people. Bill loves red meat, gardening, and is currently learning to play disc golf with some of the middle schoolers in his small group.
Jonathan Monk
High School Pastor
Meet Jonathan
Jonathan graduated from Columbia International University in 2013 with a degree in Bible Teaching. He went on to teach Bible classes in a public school in North Carolina for five years, while also coaching soccer and basketball. In 2018, the Lord led him and his wife, Allison, to move to Jacksonville to join the staff at CFC, where he has since served as the high school pastor. Jonathan loves playing soccer with students, running, watching sports, and spending time with his four kids: Lydia, Chloe, Asher, and Mercy.
Ryan Towler
College Pastor
Meet Ryan
Ryan attended a Torchbearer Bible school in Holsbybrunn, Sweden, and then completed a four-year program at Columbia International, graduating with a degree in Bible Teaching. In 2019, he joined the staff at CFC as the college pastor and also serves in the middle school ministry alongside Bill. He loves all things outdoors and is learning the art of wrangling his newborn son to keep him from running into walls.

Sunny Jacksonville is located in NE Florida and offers a variety of adventures from beach sports and activities to river life, parks, shopping, and a growing local food scene. The largest city land-wise in the US, Jacksonville boasts over 300 city parks, 7 state parks, and 2 national parks. We are also s short drive from Historic St Augustine and only 2 hours from Orlando to the Southwest and Savannah, GA to the North. It’s a great spot for a summer adventure!
