I am passionate about words, I love the balance of art and science in communication, and organizing is my jam. However, it wasn’t until stepping into my current role as Director of Communications that I understood that these passions could play a role in ministry and people meeting Jesus.
A little back story: When first offered the job, I turned it down. It was going to be a HUGE change to step out of corporate communications into ministry and I just couldn’t see how that would work. However, during a Sunday sermon here at CFC in July of 2020, the Lord changed the desires of my heart to align with what He had for me. He gently revealed to me through a passage from Genesis that my reasoning (aka excuse) for not taking the job was unreasonable and He can be trusted with my future. I had no idea of the adventure ahead of me, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be on this team, serving with this family, and using my passion to help grow fully devoted, spirit empowered Christ followers.
Outside of work I love cooking/baking, being outdoors, grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s, and sipping tea while enjoying British Television.
I am a local through and through and love this community. I was born and raised in Old Mandarin, attending Loretto Elementary, Mandarin Middle, Mandarin High, and even graduated from UNF with a degree in Communications & Broadcasting. I started attending CFC in 2003.
While at UNF I met my husband Brian, who came to Florida to escape the snow of Colorado. We have two amazing kiddos and as a family love to travel together, watch Denver sports (and the Jags), compete in a wide variety of games, and every Friday enjoy pizza and movie night.
