Prior to the joy of coming on to staff at CFC in 2021, I worked for almost 20 years at a local elementary school. He used my previous career as a director of an extended day program, working with children and their families, in so many ways. From coming to faith in Christ to developing the skills necessary to be a point of connection for others, God’s hand in my life has been abundantly evident.

In 2003 my first connection point with CFC was placed. I became friends with some CFC attenders who invited me to check it out. Given various circumstances in my life at the time, I accepted their invitation. I joined the choir shortly after and became friends with the worship pastor’s wife who began pouring into me through discipleship. My second and third points of connection were placed! It was through those points of serving and discipleship that I came to know Christ and started my journey of following Him.

Over the next almost 20 years I remained working as an extended day director, learning to listen, lead, encourage and connect! Although I wasn’t working at CFC during these years, I did obey the desire the Lord had for me to serve in various capacities. One being, introducing the idea of serving coffee in a common area at church to encourage fellowship of the body and connection.

Little did I know I would have the opportunity to join staff here at CFC in 2021 as the Director of Connections. Because of my own experience and testimony, I see the importance and value of finding a place to truly connect with others. It is through those points of connection that I came to know Him and have continued to grow in His likeness alongside my brothers and sisters, and it is my absolute joy and privilege to help others do the same.
