My wife, Allison, and I have been at CFC since July 2018, when I joined the staff as the High School Youth Pastor. Before coming to CFC, I taught the Bible as an elective course at a public school in Eden, NC, where I worked with both middle and high school students from 2013 to 2018. During that time, I also helped coach soccer and basketball.

I grew up in a Christian home but didn’t become a follower of Christ until 2006, when I was 21 years old, at Park Avenue Baptist Church. It was there that God opened my eyes to the need and value of serving in youth ministry. In 2007, I began volunteering in the high school ministry, and in 2009, the Lord led me to Columbia International University to pursue biblical training so that I could rightly handle God’s Word and invest in the next generation.

While at CIU, God stirred in my heart a love for knowing, living, and teaching His Word (Ezra 7:10). I graduated in 2013 with a major in Bible Teaching and a minor in Youth Ministry. During my time there, I met my wife, Allison, and today we have four children: Lydia, Chloe, Asher, and Mercy.

I enjoy wrestling with my kids, watching football with family and friends, and going for a good run!
