We are to see how God is going to move our hearts to engage more in missions at MissionCon 2019! Below are further explanations of ways we can engage. We will be collecting completed Engage Cards and gifts towards the annual missions offering during services Feb 24.

LEARN

Attend a CFC Bible Study on Missions in Fall 2019

Study the Scriptures concerning why God’s people are to be involved in missions with others. Class details TBA.

PRAY

Join the CFC Missions Prayer Team

Receive bi-weekly emails containing prayer requests and praises regarding the mission work of CFC.

Join a CFC Commended Missionary Sending Team

Sending Teams help send our missionaries around the world long-term. This includes prayer, financial, relational support.

Pray for more vocational missionaries from CFC

Luke 10:2 Jesus said “Ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into the fields. For the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.” Commit to praying specifically for more long-term missionaries to hear His calling and be sent around the world.

GIVE

Give to the Annual Missions Offering

(Place in offering box during a service Feb 24 or go online. Listed in priority order. Once one item need is raised, additional funds will go to the item below it, etc.)

·      CFC/India Partnership (Need $10,000)

CFC partners with a church planting ministry to start life-giving churches throughout the northern region of India. Each mission of evangelism and church planting costs $10,000. This covers the evangelist’s salary, travel and training, Bibles, tracts, and church planters’ training. CFC has already raised $10,000 to cover one mission, which produced over 7 church plants and 233 salvations so far! We are now asking God for the funds to support another mission in 2019.

·      India Training Center & Pastor’s House (Need $30,000)

CFC is involved in long-term efforts to plant life-giving churches throughout the northern region of India. Once a church is planted, they need a multi-purpose facility. The bottom floor is used as a training center and worship facility and the 2nd floor as the Pastor’s house.

·      Jesus Film Translation (Need $19,000)

CFC is ready to raise funds for our 5th language to have the powerful Jesus Film translated! Specific language, country, etc. Over 572 million people have believed in Jesus because of this powerful film based on the Gospel of Luke!

·      Holy Land Missions Evangelist Motorbike (Need $13,900)

A new motorbike will help evangelists and pastors reach harder terrain areas to share the Gospel, visit the sick and make disciple-makers. It will also save gas money as well as cut down on 200 hours of drive-time per year.

·      Give to 1 or more Short-term Mission Trip members

CFC is sending 7 teams around the world to Albania, Cambodia, Greece, Honduras, India, Israel and the Philippines! Team members will be asking for funds in order to go. We especially encourage you to consider an extra gift to those who may be going overseas for the first time, as going will change one’s life! If you do not expect a team member to approach you for funds, feel free to email missions@cfcjax.com to find out how you can give.

·     Give to a CFC missionary regularly

CFC has 25 Commended Missionaries both stateside and around the world. Visit www.cfcjax.com/missions to find out who they are and financially support one or more this coming year.

·     Give to other missions

God is spreading His Kingdom through CFC and beyond! If you plan to give to any other missionaries and/or mission’s organizations in 2019, mark the Engage Card as a way to make that commitment before the Lord.

GO

Go on 1 or more CFC 2019 Mission Trips

Below are the 6 open mission trips you could potentially go and serve the Lord. Mark on your Engage Card all you are interested in going on and someone will follow up with you on further details. Application Deadlines: Summer teams- March 7. Fall teams- August

·      India (Summer)

·      Israel (Summer)

·      Albania (Summer)

·      Philippines (Summer. Sr High/College-Age)

·      Honduras (Fall)

·      Cambodia (Fall)

Go on a non-CFC mission trip

Do you plan to go on a mission trip with a team not associated with CFC? Mark the Engage Card as a way to make that commitment before the Lord in 2019. Also, the Mission’s Team would love to know that you are going so we can pray for you!

Go into long-term missions

Do you wonder if God is calling you to share the Gospel overseas long-term? Mark the Engage Card and the Mission’s Team would love to pray with you and offer any assistance possible in that exploration.
