Dear CFC Family
In light of the fluid situation surrounding the coronavirus and requests from our government leaders that large group meetings be canceled. We have made the difficult decision to cancel services and other on-campus activities for a season.
As we said previously we are making these decisions not out of fear but in consideration for those in our body who might be at a greater risk-health wise or who may live with those who are at greater risk.
In the coming days we will seek how to balance being submissive to our governing authorities (Romans 13:7) while obeying the command for Christians to gather for corporate worship (Hebrews 10:25).
We will also be weighing the impact of our ministry activities on our volunteers and staff. We will communicate changes and decisions as soon as we can, and suggest that you check the CFC website and your emails regularly.
Above all, let us remember that our Creator God Is on His throne and is sovereign over all. As I heard someone recently say, “There is never an emergency board meeting in the throne room of heaven”. This has been part of God’s plan from eternity past. And we know God is working this for good to conform us to the image of His Son. I am excited to see how God works in the life of our church body.
We would also like to ask that you continue to pray for our country, our government leaders but also for the CFC elders and staff that we might have wisdom and discernment during these days.
On behalf of the elders and staff of CFC
